concludion about my lesson 4

I want to explain in this post about the practice of the class.

The dolls used in a lesson ( after a class, my mentor gave me them)

4-1 procedure of teaching

I did my lesson following my plan which I showed you in the latest post. So if you want to know each step in detail, please read it. Explaining roughly, I use these step: 1. Introduction 2. Warm up 3. Explanation 4. Practice 5. Summery.

4-2 Time management and organizing activities

There is no rest in the elementary school of Thailand between a class and class. Therefore students are often late for a class. In addition, a teacher may not be in time for class start as teachers extend classes well. The teacher must cope in consideration of the time for class shortening flexibly. I introduced stretch to do pairwise in a warm-up. This stretch was a method of the exercise that a Thai teacher did not do. Therefore explanation takes time. I intended to leave out this exercise when lesson time had shortened. However, actually, a Thai teacher minded time during a game all the time. I was able to finish all contents thanks to him before time for lesson run out. We have enough time to review a lesson.

4-3 classroom management

When we do lessons outdoors, we use an open space or a piloti. These places have a floor by concrete and a tile. Therefore, as for carrying out a too intense activity, it is in the risk of the injury of the student. In addition, it is difficult to explain a game in a figure because there are not blackboards. Appropriate consideration was demanded.

4-4 Problem solving while teaching

*students are too noisy to listen to me→use whitsle sound or crap my hand. *one student gets injured and cries because someone throw an wood stick used as a bomb unintentionally when we do a lesson simulation→use dolls in place of the sticks. *My teacher cannot understand my English→explain in detail, tell some example. * some student cannot understand my explanation about the rule→explain it with a demonstration.

Probably next post might be the last blog. As there are many businesslike descriptions, you, the reader, may be bored. However, we are the first people that participated in this program from Japan. As it is valuable experiences, please go together till the last.
