Yesterday, I went to Japanese foods restaurant with certain teacher and her family. I have eaten Japanese food 3 times after I come to Thailand. The first time was sushi which I ate in a night market. Mayonnaise and salty-sweet sauce, taste of the cheese were the main of the taste. In addition, temperature was high, and much sushi was warmed as it was difficult to keep the freshness. The second time we ate a teriyaki bowl at a cafe. Similar to the Japanese teriyaki even if said to have tasted, was more different than a Japanese thing. Also, we tried shabu-shabu(it means dish with a kind of boiled meat, fish, vegetable, many kinds of food) at Central Plaza, which is big shopping mall in Thailand. Even it is different from Washoku, I think Japanese food in Thai is greater than I expected so I was looking forward to eating this time.
We ate many dishes mainly made by fish this time. As soon as the weiter of the shop knew that we were Japanese, offered service carefully. Japanese rice was used for sushi. I who Japanese rice yearned for was glad. I challenged okonomiyaki and soba. It was not original Japanese foods as expected. But it was very delicious. They were considerably high-level, and Japanese as well as Thai are able to enjoy it enough. I became completely full by the result that the beer swallowed up. As I overate myself, I want to reduce quantity to eat today…
The taste is different, but it is proud that Thai people accept and enjoy Japanese culture very much. I want more people to know Japanese foods. Recently the Japanese foods spread out in various countries. When you went for a trip, it is common to eat local dishes. But it may be interesting to eat Japanese foods there daringly!
